Best crêperie in the Laurentians! We always go here in the summer or after skiing and it is always delicious. Make sure to get the onion soup and to call ahead to reserve because it gets busy.
Very good service! Lovely staff. I regret not having the onion soup. Two of my friends had one and it looked delicious. I had the béchamel and ham crèpe and it was good. Not giving 5 stars because it's a little pricey for crèpes, but overall a great experience!
Local favorite restaurant for onion soup, salad and crepes. According to the owner, Danielle, the secret is genuine Emmenthal cheese. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Sit outside weather permitting.
I have been going for years and this establishment never fails. The salad is truly interesting and very delicious, definitely worth sharing. The crepes are made on the flat top stove, surrounded with beautiful bronze decor really make the experience fun as you get to watch the creation in front of you. The true masterpiece though is the French onion soup; I have tried to find its equal and yet fail. The crispy cheese covered bowl, hot soft bread and the mix of rich, full onions in the soup are to die for. I was there this week and it was 35°C outside and the soup was the first thing I ordered. 11/10 food experience and wonderful owners and service will have me coming back for years to come.
A must if you are in the area ! Perfect place to get the best onion soup after winter activities. FYI They only take cash or e-transfer
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. Our experience began with their French onion soup, which was simply outstanding. The broth was rich and flavorful, topped with a perfectly melted layer of cheese that made every spoonful a delight. Next, we indulged in their crepes, which were nothing short of fantastic. Each crepe was light and delicately filled with fresh ingredients. The service was another highlight of our visit. With a family of ten, we often encounter challenges, but the staff here was incredibly accommodating. They greeted us with warmth and ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit. From the delicious food to the excellent service, it’s a place I can’t wait to return to!
Hands down the best French onion soup around. We are a outdoors group that are always doing winter sports in Val-david, bal-Morin and surrounding communities and we have been to a lot of places in this area but this was our first time here If you are looking for home-cooked awesome French onion soup and great crepes - this is the place Most of us come from big cities like Montreal and NYC and find this type of home style hot food in a wood paneled restaurant that feels like a home - was just what we were looking for Keep in mind that this is a small setting and that the excellent service staff of 2 is like the food - you feel you are at a family’s home and you may have to wait for your food, But the wait was more than worth it for the French onion soup and crepe, and these folks take pride in their home cooked meals So if this is the kind of small home - down to earth - simple home setting that you enjoy / this is a must stop after a long day of snowshoeing or skiing, and relax and take your time (maybe even take half the huge crepe home) If you are a hurried-person looking for a modern setting with beautiful menus and food descriptions of plates that end up being so small - you have to go home and eat again - well, this is not your setting One note: This is a small setting and they only take cash or interac transfer so make sure you come prepared and enjoy it!
Took my wife and my brother and his wife and had a tremendous experience. The owner was very accommodating and personable, and really ingratiated herself to all her guests. Most staff spoke English and French, and all the crepes we ordered were prepared to perfection, especially the dessert, banana, chocolate, and ice cream! What also made an impression on us was that the French- Canadian-run restaurant had a menorah proudly displayed on a corner shelf, as well as a sculpture of the Western Wall. When I asked her about these items, she said a Jewish customer gave her the Menorah, but she bought the Western Wall sculpture, and that the Jewish community in the area has been very supportive, and she deeply appreciated the friendship it provided. It's a gutsy move, but she said anyone who didn't approve of the Jewish symbols were welcome to get their crepes elsewhere.
